Hailing from small town Oklahoma, and calling various towns home throughout my young adult life, I couldn’t be more thankful to have the opportunity to grow up here. I’ve looked up to many great songwriters throughout my short career, but the majority have all been Okies and I’ve been trying to learn something from them all. Aside from a short stint in the junior high band on the saxophone, I didn’t play music that much, I followed other dreams and rode bulls for much of my young life. Bull riders don’t have long careers generally, but I found myself leaning into playing guitar and eventually writing songs when I was down due to injury. I’ve had so much to learn since I began playing 10 years ago, and I hope I still have plenty more. I wanted to do nothing more than write some decent songs, and I’m too grateful l’ve been granted the opportunity to do so.
